Weiqi Go is a free browser board for practice, teaching, and casual play. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site.
Service scope
This is not a rated competition server, professional coaching service, or game-record certification service. Features may change as the board is developed.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Do not harass others, disrupt rooms, impersonate players, bypass room controls, or automate high-volume requests.
Rules used by this board
Games use Chinese area scoring with 7.5 komi for White. Positional superko prohibits recreating a prior board position, and suicide moves that capture nothing are illegal.
Mode differences
Local AI games offer hints, undo, and replay. Shared-device games offer undo and replay without move suggestions. Shared online rooms synchronise accepted moves and do not offer hints or undo. They use room links or codes, not rankings or automated matchmaking.
AI and liability
All vs-AI levels run KataGo locally in the browser. Larger nets download only when the strong or master level is selected. AI moves and hints are for practice only; the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Privacy and contact
Use of the site is also subject to the Privacy Policy. For a site-related question, contact contact@plyyard.com.
